what we take
We’re looking for your best women’s clothing, handbags, jewelry, shoes, and accessories. We don’t have a favorite label list, but are unable to accept fast fashion (there’s not enough resale value). Our customers prefer natural fiber, high-end clothing in mint condition.
how to prepare
Everything you bring us should be in excellent condition — clean, stainless, odorless, and free of holes, pills, tears, and fraying. We prefer neatly folded clothes in bags. No hangers, please. Please clean your shoes — inside and out.
We are unable to accept any garments that are not clean, have pet fur, have been stored in moth balls, or smell of cigarette smoke.
how it works
We keep items on the selling floor for 60 to 90 days, and mark them down after 30. Items that don’t sell are donated to a local church. We can provide a donation form if you want to itemize for deductions.
You get half of whatever your item sells for. We make exceptions for luxury items.
We are unable to return items once they have been consigned, but again, we make exceptions for luxury items (we won’t donate your Prada bag!).
Items accepted and later found to be damaged may be reduced in price or donated.
We are not responsible for damages or loss due to handling, fire, burglary, or shoplifting.
Consigning with us means you agree to all of the above.

For newbies and veterans alike, we host walk-in hours twice a week.
Fridays starting at 9:30am — the first 15 people in line are guaranteed.
Sundays starting at 9:15am — the first 5 people in line are guaranteed.
There is a strict 10-piece limit, so please bring your 10 best. Please take your items off hangers; bring them in neatly folded (it goes faster this way).
Sometimes life happens and walk-in hours are cancelled; we post changes on instagram and we apologize for any inconvenience.
For returning consigners with 25+ exceptional pieces wanting a careful review
We schedule 30 minutes appointments on Thursday and Saturday mornings before opening. Call the shop Thursday-Sunday during shopping hours to schedule — 202.546.4004
For returning consigners who trust our pricing, you may “drop and trust”
Bring your best, high-quality, neatly folded items in a labeled bag you do not need returned. If you’re bringing in more than 25 pieces you need to give us a heads up. We evaluate drop-offs in the order they are received. It may take a week or two, but we will email you an inventory list once your bag is evaluated. Reminder that we cannot return any dropped-off items. We are grateful to you for sending us only your best ’fits—we work in a small space with a small staff.
